This committee focuses on issues pertaining to transportation in the Alamo Square vicinity, with priority given to pedestrian safety and resident quality of life versus speed of travel and convenience to automotive commuters that pass through our boundaries.

We will work to improve pedestrian access and safety; promote frequent and reliable Muni bus service; encourage City Car Share access and usage; advocate for safe bicycle access; address speeding and red-light-running; investigate the desirability/feasibility of residential parking permits and; promote smart street design to strike an equitable balance among all transportation modes.
